Applying transparency and glow to a chart series
You can adjust the transparency of a series or a data point to reveal the objects in the background. You can also add a colored glow effect to the series, and specify the position of the glow.
To make a series transparent |
1.

Click a chart, and click a chart series.
|
2.

|
Click Chart Visualize palette.
|
3.
|
|
Adjust the Transparency slider.
|

|
If you want to make a data point transparent, click the data point after clicking the chart series.
|
To add a glow to a series |
1.
|
|
Click a chart, and click a chart series.
|
2.
|
|
Click Chart Visualize palette.
|
3.
|
|
Enable the Glow check box.
|
You can also
|
|
Choose the color of the glow
|
Open the color picker, and click a color.
|
Adjust the width of the glow
|
Type a number in the Glow width box.
|

You cannot add a glow to a series in an advanced rendered chart.
|

|
If you want to add a glow to a data point, click the data point after clicking the chart series.

To specify the position of glow for a chart series |

Click a chart, and click a chart series.
|

|
Click Chart Visualize palette.
|
3.
|
|
Enable the Glow check box.
|
4.

In the Display area, enable one of the following options:

Glow outside
|
•
|
Glow inside
|
•
|
Glow both sides
|
•

If you want to specify the position of the glow of a data point, click the data point a
fter clicking the chart series. |
